Jan is a former business owner who developed and grew her manufacturing company from the ground up and managed to achieve the honor of #1 in North America based on Gross Sales and Net Profit in the company's first year of business in its field. With 17 full time employees and an operation that ran 24 hours per day to keep up with the orders, Jan is used to hard work and determination to get the job done.

Growing up in Ontario and exploring various careers over the years including Corporate Banking, Environmental and Private Investigation, various Sales, Marketing and Training positions and Business Ownership, Jan quickly realized that she was a leader rather than a follower. Enjoying investing in various real estate projects over the years with great success, Jan decided that her passion for real estate could translate into a rewarding career.

Jan has lived in various areas of Nova Scotia over the years including, Kentville, Canning, Bridgewater, Lunenburg, Mill Cove, Halifax, Head of St. Margaret's Bay, Fall River, and currently resides with her husband John in Seabright.

Highly motivated and dedicated to serving her clientele, Jan's philosophy is that buying or selling a home should be a pleasant and successful experience offering:

I. A Customized Marketing Plan

II. Honest Communication

III. Skillful Negotiation

IV. Continuous Follow-up

Jan has recently taken on the position of President of the BBC Tantallon.  This group facilitates the building of businesses in the community through networking and referrals.

She is also an active member with the Bay Grandmothers who are involved with the Grandmothers to Grandmothers campaign sponsored by The Stephen Lewis Foundation. The Stephen Lewis Foundation funds grassroots organizations that assist grandmothers caring for AIDS orphans in 15 African countries. The Foundation provides grandmothers with much-needed assistance, including: food, educational fees, income-generating projects, counseling and social support, and coffins to allow for a dignified burial of their loved ones.  The Bay Grandmothers Group has raised over $14,000 since September 2010.
